Further notes on ACPSEM list-server access:A list-server has been established to ensure rapid and efficient communication between College members. It is intended that all College members should subscribe to this list server to ensure that relevant information is rapidly disseminated. The list-server will be under the management of a member of College (List-server Manager) whose job will be to establish the list-server, ensure that it is operating smoothly and to monitor its performance from time to time. The list server may be used by any College member for any business related to the aims of the College. Advertising will be allowed on the list-server under the following conditions: [Council Motion 2002/09] 1. Only members (including corporate members) are entitled to advertise. 2. Advertisements must be relevant to the activities of the College. 3. All advertisements are processed by the College office. 4. All advertisements must have at least the words Paid Advertisement in the subject line. 5. Charges levied for advertising will be determined by the Executive. This will be set at a commercial rate with all money received in excess of any costs incurred being returned to the College Treasurer for general use of the College. 6. No member may include more than one advertisement per month. All courses etc advertised on the list-server would need to comply with the restrictions described above. The advertising for courses etc that are accepted as an official component of the College's activities or for organizations to which the College is affiliated would be allowed on the list-server free. All advertisement of courses etc that are relevant to the activities of the College may be placed on the web free of charge. Any decisions taken by any of the Executive, Council and other office bearers (eg. Chairmen of Specialty Groups), which could have ramifications for the membership at large should be notified to the membership by means of the list-server. If at any time the use of the list-server is being dominated by an area of specialised interest, further list-servers will be established to accommodate these interests to avoid the main College list-server being overwhelmed.
